On August 19, 2026, Vietnam's Nghe An province simultaneously launched the implementation of three major real estate, tourism, and waste processing projects. The total investment volume amounts to VND 14.929 trillion — approximately $570 million. The projects are located in Truong Vinh, Tan Mai, and Hai Loc.
The largest of these is a multi-functional complex in the Truong Vinh district, developed by Sun Group. The investment volume exceeds VND 8.723 trillion ($333 million), and the site area covers 3.74 hectares.
The project will combine residential, commercial, and service infrastructure. It will feature commercial, service, and educational buildings, serviced apartments ranging from 1 to 3 stories high, as well as residential towers standing 35–37 stories tall and two underground levels. The project is planned for approximately 3,500 apartments. The total gross floor area of commercial and service spaces will be around 30,000 sq. m, while the area of the two underground levels will be approximately 74,000 sq. m.
For Sun Group, this project will be its first in Nghe An province. The complex is being built in the central part of Vinh City, on plot HH01 near the Hai Quan roundabout, close to major transport arteries.
On the same day, the implementation of the La Brise resort project began in the Tan Mai district. The investor is Sunwin Co., Ltd., with an investment volume of over VND 2.15 trillion ($82 million). The project spans nearly 218 hectares.
About 89 hectares are allocated for a resort zone featuring upscale villas and a hotel, while another 90 hectares are designated for an 18-hole golf course. The remaining 38.75 hectares will be occupied by green spaces and landscape infrastructure.
The project's completion deadline is Q4 2029. According to the approved master plan, legal procedures and land handover for construction are scheduled to be completed by Q1 2027. Meanwhile, the investor plans to accelerate the work and expects to put the first phase and the golf course into operation as early as late April to early May 2027.
The third project is a waste-to-energy incineration plant within the Nghien Yen solid household waste processing complex in Hai Loc commune. The investor is Galax JSC, which is part of the AMACCAO Group ecosystem.
The investment volume is approximately VND 4.056 trillion ($155 million), and the project area covers nearly 7.2 hectares. The plant will be capable of processing up to 1,500 tons of waste per day and generating up to 30 MW of electricity.
According to the initially approved investment schedule, the first phase of the plant was supposed to start operations in Q4 2028, and the second phase in Q4 2030. However, due to the province's urgent need for additional waste processing capacities, the investor intends to accelerate construction and equipment installation. Both phases are now planned to be launched in Q4 2027.
The implementation of these three projects will expand Nghe An's residential and tourism infrastructure, create new jobs, and increase the region's waste processing and power generation capacities.
