Vietnamese operator Green SM Launches Electric Taxi Service in India

On June 5th, Green SM officially entered the Indian market by launching an electric taxi service in New Delhi. For passenger transport, the company utilizes the new seven-seater VinFast Limo Green electric crossover. India has become Green SM's fifth country of presence, following Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia, and the Philippines.

The VinFast Limo Green is designed specifically for passenger transport. This seven-seater electric SUV features a spacious interior with three rows of seats, making the vehicle suitable for airport transfers, family trips, corporate transport, and intercity routes.

The model is equipped with a 60.13 kWh battery. It boasts a range of up to 517 km on a single charge. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 9 seconds. Recharging the battery from 10% to 70% takes approximately 30 minutes, thereby reducing vehicle downtime.

The company places special emphasis on safety. All Green SM vehicles are equipped with the Secure-to-Safe system, which includes internal and external surveillance cameras, artificial intelligence technologies, and an emergency assistance button. Additionally, passengers have access to drinking water, wet wipes, and other supplementary services.

Green SM drivers undergo specialized training in electric vehicle operation, safety standards, and customer service. The company is developing the "Ride 5 Star" service concept with an emphasis on service quality and ride safety.

Beyond launching its taxi service, Green SM plans to develop a broader network of partnerships in India. As part of its "Green Alliance Frontier" initiative, the company aims to collaborate with local organizations in the transport, tourism, technology, and services sectors.

Entry into the Indian market positions Green SM as a new competitor for major ride-hailing services like Ola and Uber. In the initial phase, the service has been launched in the Delhi National Capital Region, after which the company plans to expand its presence to other major cities across the country.
